Provincial / Government

BC Achievement Scholarship $1,250 voucher awarded automatically to the top 8,000 BC graduates based on cumulative Grades 10–12 course averages. No application needed — you must have a B or higher in Language Arts 12.

 

BC Excellence Scholarship $5,000 awarded to 55 well-rounded graduates who demonstrate community service, leadership, and commitment to a career path. Each school may nominate one student. Applications were due February 17, 2026.

 

District/Authority Scholarships 5,500 scholarships of $1,250 each, distributed across school districts, recognizing excellence in non-academic fields like fine arts, athletics, community service, and trades. Apply through your school counsellor.

 

Pathway to Teacher Education Scholarship $5,000 awarded to 20 students who demonstrate commitment and aptitude for a career in K-12 teaching. Redeemable at one of nine BC Faculties of Education. 

Secondary School Apprenticeship Scholarship $1,000 for students registered in a Secondary School Apprenticeship program who complete the required work-based courses and maintain a C+ average. Awarded automatically — no application needed

Private / Foundation

Beedie Luminaries Scholarship Up to $44,000 for a 4-year degree (or $22,000 for a 2-year diploma/trades program) for Grade 12 students in BC facing financial and life adversities. Aimed at resilient students constrained by circumstance. Applications for the 2026 cohort are now closed — bookmark for next cycle.

BC Tech Scholarship For Grade 12 students passionate about technology who are entering a BC-based post-secondary program in 2026. Requires a minimum 3.4 GPA and Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Winners are celebrated at the annual Technology Impact Awards.

 

West Vancouver Foundation Scholarships Multiple awards for North Shore students covering areas like science, engineering, environment, and athletics. Applications were due March 22, 2026 — check for next year's cycle.
